Managing Membership Auto-Renew Settings
Auto-renewal ensures your membership stays active without you having to manually re-purchase it every year. You can toggle this on or off at any time.
Step 1: Locate Your Memberships
- Log in to your Elevent account.
- Click your Username in the top-right corner.
- Select Account from the menu.
- On the left-hand sidebar, click the Your Memberships tab.
Step 2: Check Current Status
Look at your active membership card. You will see one of three things:
- "Configure Default Payment" button: This means you do not have a credit card saved to use the Auto Renewal feature. Click to add your payment information. Once added, you can set up your Auto Renewal
- "Enable Auto Renewal" button: This means auto-renew is currently OFF.
- "Disable Auto Renewal" button: This means auto-renew is currently ON.
Step 3: Toggle the Setting
- To Turn Auto-Renew ON:
- Click Enable Auto Renewal.
- Once saved, your membership will automatically charge your card on the "Valid To" date shown on your membership.
- To Turn Auto-Renew OFF:
- Click Disable Auto Renewal.
- Your membership will remain active until the expiration date, but it will not charge you again when it ends.
Key Things to Know
- Notification | You will typically receive an email reminder severalĀ days before an auto-renewal charge happens.
- Grace Period | If an auto-renewal payment fails, you usually have a short window to update your payment info before benefits are suspended.
- Refunds | Turning off auto-renew does not trigger a refund for the current term; it simply prevents the next charge.
Pro Tip: If you see any of the options listed, it means the event organizer requires manual renewals for that specific membership type.
